Light weight feels like a ton
Nice pump
Firstly, let me start out by saying that I really wanted to give these a 5 star, as I'm a bit of a Gen-Tec groupie (lol) - and to be fair, these are some great occlusion bands. There were just a few things I noticed when using them, and 2 points I think would make them even better:
1. To get them tight enough, I had to really pull them through - the elastic bands make this quite practical, however the size of the buckle can make the process a bit pinchy on the skin (maybe I just like it too tight though? 🤷😅);
2. I reckon if the buckle were smaller, this would make for a better experience when it comes to actually lifting, as when you move the associated limb, the buckle can get in the way a little (more so on arms then on the legs);
3. I think if the band itself were a little less wide (maybe an inch or so?) it would make for a better constriction effect... Couldn't say why exactly, just relating it to those bands that pathologists use when drawing blood samples.
That said, the design of the buckle and it's clamp-lock, as well as the teeth that lock on the band itself mean that once the band is in place, it's not moving, so that's great. The only other thing I think would be cool to add would be a number scale on the band, so you can objectively measure tightness of the band from session to session... Kind of like lines on a ruler e.g 1, 1.5, 2, 2.5 etc.
Other then that, I love them... And the colours 😊
